PROTOCOL WITH THE REGIONAL GUARANTOR

On October 13, 2017, in the city of Potenza, the “Basilicata Zero Barriers” memorandum of understanding was signed. This important agreement was formalized with Vincenzo Giuliano, the Regional Guarantor for Children and Adolescents, and ANCI Basilicata, represented by its President, Salvatore Adduce. Through this protocol, we extend the project to schools and municipalities across the Basilicata region with a dual goal: to remove existing physical and cultural barriers and prevent new ones from arising, actively promoting a culture in which diversity is recognized as a fundamental social asset.

Vincenzo Giuliano highlighted that this initiative represents a concrete opportunity to directly involve local administrations and young people in a path of education toward inclusive citizenship. ANCI President Salvatore Adduce also emphasized ANCI Basilicata’s commitment to supporting municipalities in implementing tangible accessibility and participation projects. President Rosa Marzico expressed deep satisfaction with the result achieve: “This protocol represents a shared commitment to restoring dignity and full accessibility to the spaces of everyday life. It is a decisive step toward a barrier-free Basilicata, capable of valuing every individual and building a lasting network of solidarity.”
