A (POSITIVE!) PUBLISHING INVASION: “THE IGUANA SYNDROME”

We entered the publishing world with a clear goal: to create a meaningful bridge between storytelling and social commitment.

The project was inspired by our President’s encounter with a deeply moving personal story - shared directly by its protagonist - focused on renewal, rediscovered passions, and real, achievable goals. A story that deserved to be shared to inspire and motivate others.

This vision led to a collaboration with writer Dino De Angelis and to the publication of the novel “The Iguana Syndrome” (La Sindrome dell’Iguana) (published by Edigrafema), with a preface by Salvatore Nappa*. More than a work of fiction, the book serves as a powerful tool for raising awareness. Through a fictionalized narrative based on a true story, it invites readers to develop a more empathetic and informed perspective on disability.

The Association actively promotes the novel across local communities, organizing interactive events that encourage inclusion and social engagement.

Presentations have already taken place in several towns across the region (Potenza, Matera, Marconia di Pisticci, Pisticci, Rionero in Vulture, Scanzano Jonico, Francavilla in Sinni, Senise, San Fele, and Genzano di Lucania), with further events currently being planned.
