ORDINI E DISORDINI Francesco e Assunta
July 15-19
The route traveled in 2010 by Nicola, Rocco, Salvatore, and Franco - the four protagonists of the film “Basilicata Coast to Coast” - has become one of the symbolic events promoted by our Association as part of the project.
On July 15, 2017, a caravan left Potenza to reach Maratea, retracing the journey from the Tyrrhenian Sea (Maratea) to the Ionian Sea (Scanzano) in off-road vehicles, three of which were driven by people with disabilities. Over five days, the caravan crossed the same locations featured in the film, with the aim of raising awareness and promoting a culture of accessibility. Starting from the real needs of those who experience disability every day, the initiative sought to make public spaces, services, and facilities easier, safer, and more inclusive for everyone.
Like the protagonists of the film, our caravan set out to give new meaning to life: a more sensitive life, aware of rights and with fewer and fewer barriers to break down.
More than twenty people took part in the event, making it a special opportunity to promote a vision of society that is more open, welcoming, and accessible to all.
